Into tomorrow

Paul Weller is one of England’s musical heroes. Born in 1958 in Woking, Surrey, John William Weller grew up to change both his name - and record buying tastes forever. He did this with two legendary bands, The Jam (1977-1982) and the Style Council (1983-1989), as well as a 15 year plus solo career.

Paul has released nine solo studio albums. Of these, career highlights include Wildwood (1992), Stanley Road (1995) and the newest collection, As Is Now (2005) which many see as a return to his hard hitting Jam style. As Is Now has so far provided Weller with three hit singles, From The Floorboards Up, Come On/ Let’s Go, and Here’s The Good News.

Nicknamed The Modfather, Paul Weller is cited by many British bands from 1995 to the present day as a major influence, guest-starring on Oasis’ 1995 release What’s The Story Morning Glory? and continuing to shape the tastes of new generations through both his classic tracks and work today.

Paul Weller receives the Outstanding Contribution to British Music Award at the BRITs 2006.
